3 sneaky keys for the Miami Dolphins to pull off the biggest Miami miracle

If I’m the Miami Dolphins, I’m playing mostly zone.

For the Miami Dolphins to even think about hanging with the Buffalo Bills, their defense is going to have to shoulder most of the load. Unfair yes, but it is what it is at this point.

I think they shouldn’t think much about playing any man defense. Allen is rated #1 against man defense this season. Besides that, we’ve seen what Allen has done to the Dolphins when they run their cover-0 or man-based defenses. Allen completes chunk play after chunk play or he does what kills our spirits and that’s run past the defensive line and pick up 20 yards.

I’d rather go the route of death by a 1,000 cuts and hope that somewhere in there someone on the Dolphin’s defense makes a play like a tip ball INT or an out-of-place fumble happening rather than Miami bringing pressure, Allen sees it instantly, and he hits Diggs on a 55 yarder for a score.

Personally, I feel that keeping Allen in the pocket as much as you can and doing everything possible to disguise looks is the best way to go about business. Crowd guys up at the line of scrimmage and have them drop, as long as they know who has the backs out of the backfield of course.

Naturally, Boyer will need an adjustment when Allen figures it out, but disguising zone looks is how I would try and keep this game from getting out of hand.
