The Miami Dolphins will have personnel decisions to make this off-season, and it will begin with addressing their own roster.

There will be plenty of work for Chris Grier and the rest of the Miami Dolphins front office to do during the 2023 off-season, but it will start with their own roster.

The Dolphins will enter the spring with little to no cap money, but cuts, trades, and restructures are coming and will provide needed relief. The team has a long list of needs and holes to fill, so any extra cash flow is going to help in their attempt to remain a contender.

Evaluating whether or not they should re-sign their own free agents will be the primary task. There is a long list of players who will be hitting the open market this off-season, some of whom Miami will be more than happy to see walk.

QUARTERBACKS

Teddy Bridgewater

It is safe to say that the Teddy Bridgewater Experiment was mostly a failure. The hometown kid got plenty of opportunities to throw to two of the most dynamic receivers in the game, and didn’t do much with his chances. His numbers were average at best, and it appeared as though his effort and body language were well below even that mark. The Dolphins chose to back up an injury-prone quarterback with an injury-prone quarterback. They’ll move on in 2023.
