Top 10 Miami Dolphins players from 2022 season

6. Zach Sieler

Zach Sieler is probably the most underrated player on the Dolphins roster. His running mate Christian Wilkins gets the stats and the “Mic’d Up” love, but Sieler is often every bit as dominant. He was 6th on the team in total tackles, had seven tackles for loss and hit the quarterback 12 times. He forced two fumbles as well, and had one of the biggest plays of the season with his scoop-and-score against Josh Allen and the Bills in the playoffs.

5. Tua Tagovailoa

There will be those who think Tua Tagovailoa should have been higher on this list, given his outstanding stretches of play and his MVP candidacy that lasted up until Week 14. There will be others who don’t believe that he should be on this list at all, given the injuries, the losing streak, and the three 4th quarter interceptions against the Packers. I am personally on the “its not your ‘fault’ when you get injured” train, and believe that the Dolphins wouldn’t have nearly the amount of success that they did without Tua. They would have won that Wild Card game in Buffalo, that’s for sure.

4. Jaelan Phillips

We expected big things out of Jaelan Phillips in 2022 as he continued his progression, and he fully delivered after starting off the season a bit slow. His sack numbers won’t reflect it, as he was actually down a 1.5 sacks from the 8.5 he got as a rookie, but Phillips was nearly unblockable during the latter portion of the season. He had 53 QB pressures on the season, and did well coming off of the edge in run coverage, too. He will be a part of one of the league’s best defensive lines in 2023.
