Top 10 Miami Dolphins players from 2022 season

3. Jaylen Waddle

His season ended with a rough outing in the Wild Card game against the Bills, but Jaylen Waddle still had an outstanding year as the second WR on the depth chart. Despite catching 29 fewer balls than he did during his rookie season, he was able to put up 1,356 yards in 17 games, which gave him an average of 18.1 yards per catch, a number that was good enough to lead the entire league.

2. Christian Wilkins

It took him a couple of years to find his footing as a dominant player, but Christian Wilkins has arrived in a big way. The fourth-year defensive lineman not only led the league in tackles at his position, but his 98 tackles were the most by any lineman in the NFL since 1994. His best two-game stretch saw him rack up 21 tackles and three tackles for loss in back-to-back games against the 49ers and Chargers. Wilkins will be in line for a new contract soon, and Miami would be smart to pay their homegrown guy.

1. Tyreek Hill

Given his usage and production, it is hard to argue for anyone being more important for the Dolphins in 2022 than Tyreek Hill. The player whose numbers were expected to decline when he went from catching passes from Patrick Mahomes to doing so with Tua Tagovailoa instead had a career year. Hill averaged over 100 yards per game for the first time ever, and his 1,710 receiving yards were over 200 more than his previous career high. His 119 catches were his most ever, too. He made the Pro Bowl and was named a First Team All-Pro.
