The AFC South looks to be the best place for Aaron Rodgers to get traded to.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts need a franchise quarterback and Jim Irsay is not below spending a fortune to get his franchise back into the Super Bowl talk. Aaron Rodgers would do just that.

Indianapolis doesn’t need a quarterback to sell tickets, they haven’t had many problems with that over the past decade but after watching Andrew Luck retire unexpectedly and the turnstile of veterans like Matt Ryan and Carson Wentz, Rodgers could give the Colts a stable QB for a few more years while they groom a rookie draft pick.

While the Colts have a great running back in Jonathan Taylor, they will need to upgrade their WR position. Michael Pittman is good and Parris Campbell isn’t bad but Rodgers is going to need more than just two outlets for his passes.

This past year was a mess for the Colts but they could be a quarterback away from making a run at the division, one they almost clawed back into despite their record. Why? Because the AFC South is a mess and aside from Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville, all three teams could use QB help.

That being said, Tennessee could be an option as well but the Texans…probably not.

Tennessee Titans

This off-season will be interesting. Ryan Tannehill is potentially not coming back and Malik Willis isn’t ready for the starting job. The Titans have the best running back in football, Derek Henry, but they traded one of the best receivers, A.J. Brown to the Eagles ahead of the 2022 season.

Like the Colts, the Titans need to be much deeper at WR. Treylon Burks has a lot of promise but the rookie is far from elite.

Tennessee came close to winning the division but once Henry went down, their chances and their season fell apart as they also lost Tannehill and finished the season with Joshua Dobbs at QB. It wasn’t enough to fend off the Jaguars who are making a big push in the division.

The South is up for the taking and a strong quarterback, as we said with the Colts, could tilt the scale in favor of the team who gets an elite QB.

Trevor Lawrence has a few holes in his game still but he is getting better and that will not sit well with the Titans or the Colts.
