Tyler Huntley would be a good fit for the Miami Dolphins but it is unlikely he leaves Baltimore, especially if Lamar Jackson is traded.

The Ravens say they have no interest in trading Lamar Jackson. Jackson has indicated he will not sign a deal that isn’t fully guaranteed and that means he won’t sign his franchise tender either. If Jackson wins this tug-of-war and moves on, Huntley will stay. If Jackson stays, Huntley will hit the market.

Huntley is interesting because the landscape of the NFL right now doesn’t appear to be set for him to land a starting job and the Dolphins would be an interesting option if he is looking for potential playing time. Like in Baltimore, Huntley could see Tua as a QB not likely to play an entire season. That might be enticing.

Huntley isn’t a bad quarterback and he proved that he could lead the Ravens down the stretch and into the postseason. Miami barely made the playoffs with Skylar Thompson at the helm and while they almost knocked off the Bills, Huntley may have been enough to push the Dolphins past Buffalo. Is he a perfect option? Of course not. We are talking about backups.
