Pro Bowl, Pro Bowl games, it’s still a joke, Bradley Chubb named to squad

The Miami Dolphins were not well represented in this year’s Pro Bowl Games but they are getting more players added, but why?

The Pro Bowl Games. I can’t figure out if this like The Hunger Games or The Reindeer Games but I do know that fans are not buying into it. Not yet. The weekend of festivities between the end of the playoffs and the Super Bowl has brought local fans nothing better to do to the game in search of autographs and a final see-off of their favorite players.

We have known for a while that the league needed to change the game. It was a mess and unnecessary. They finally agreed to cancel the game and replace it with something more akin to a carnival row of NFL positional games and a flag football game.

By now we all know that Tua Tagovailoa who was the first alternative was added to the roster. He declined because he was still in concussion protocols. We knew that Xavien Howard made the roster despite having a big off-year that was full of injuries. Tyreek Hill? Yes, he deserved it and made it but Jaylen Waddle did not despite leading the league in yards-per-catch. Terron Armstead also made the roster.

Today we find out that Bradley Chubb has been added to the Pro Bowl roster and fans are snickering because Chubb didn’t have a Pro Bowl-worthy season.

If that wasn’t enough, Josh Allen has backed out of the games and has been replaced with Ravens’ backup QB Tyler Huntley.

Even with the changes made by the NFL, the league still has a problem and we haven’t even seen what the games might actually be about. Maybe it is time to just scrap the whole thing. The voting process is a joke and makes little sense if we are being honest and in another reality, the number of Pro Bowls a player makes has no bearing on his being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there is more weight to All-Pro nominations.
