Last week, legendary quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL — again.

After 23 seasons in the league, Brady says it’s goodbye for real this time. Largely regarded as the greatest to ever do it, Brady won seven Super Bowls and was a five-time Super Bowl MVP.

Over the years, however, the Miami Dolphins had a decent amount of success against the legend — at least compared to the rest of the league. Unfortunately, most of the seasons profiled in this series still ended up far better for Brady than Miami.

Nevertheless, we’ll be looking back on one Dolphins fan’s favorite memories of the legendary signal caller for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Throughout the course of his career, Brady won twice as often as he lost against Miami, compiling a 24-12 record.

The 12 losses, however, was the most for Brady to any team. Many of those defeats came in South Florida. Some even changed the trajectory of New England’s playoff outlook.

In the end, Brady got to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy more than any player in NFL history. The Dolphins, on the other hand, haven’t won a playoff game since 2000. They haven’t been to the Super Bowl since 1984.

This piece, however, is meant to remember the good times for the Dolphins in their battles against the signal caller known by many simply as the “GOAT”.
