The Miami Dolphins have a lot of decisions to make prior to the start of free agency in March. With 28 impending free agents, there are easy and hard moves to make.

For the most part, some of the 28 players will be easy decisions to make.

  • Mike Gesicki – Miami really has little choice here. They will let him walk and the reason is they shouldn’t pay a big tag on a player they won’t use properly.
  • Teddy Bridgewater – No reason for the Dolphins to bring him back. Something we talked about here.
  • Myles Gaskin – Gaskin wasn’t used in 2022 and there is no reason to believe he would agree to come back and sit inactive on Sundays.
  • Eric Fisher – Fisher did nothing for the Dolphins but take their money and sit out games. Lessons should be learned unless he is willing to play three games for free.
  • Trent Sherfield and River Cracraft – Both players should be easy decisions for the Dolphins to bring back. Miami will be thinner at WR without them and both contributed. Sherfield will cost more than Cracraft but neither will be hugely expensive.
  • Thomas Morstead – Zero reason not to bring him back for another year considering the level he is playing at.

Those are seven pretty easy decisions to make before free agency arrives but who are the players that will be a little more difficult? Here are five.
