3 tight ends I’d love the Miami Dolphins to do their homework on

The Miami Dolphins should look into the 26-year-old who made the most of his opportunity last year.

It’s fine if you never really heard of Foster Moreau. He was Darren Waller’s backup this year who due to Waller basically never playing, got a good amount of run out there for Las Vegas.

Though he was a back up to Waller, Moreau logged the 15th-highest percentage in terms of snap counts for a tight end.

Moreau had a modest 33 catches for 422 yards along with two TDs. Those aren’t crazy numbers but Moreau wasn’t drafted to be a dynamic pass-catcher. He’s more of an in-line blocker that enjoys mauling dudes on the line of scrimmage. He was a big reason why Josh Jacobs led the league in rushing last year.

I think he’s an old-school type of tight end that can clean up on lighter boxes and flat-out lighter defenders. Defenders aren’t typically built like they used to be. They’re more slender and agile. Moreau can come downhill and check fools all day thus allowing the Miami Dolphins and whoever is running the ball to get to the edge more frequently or cut the ball back up inside.

And let’s not act like Moreau can’t get out there and catch the ball if asked to. He can. He gives me a real Anthony Fasano vibe and that guy was solid as all hell.
