3 tight ends I’d love the Miami Dolphins to do their homework on

Austin Hooper would bring balance to the Miami Dolphins offense in a big way.

Give me all of Austin Hooper. This guy is the guy I would target first if I were the Miami Dolphins. He only had 41 catches for 444 yards and two TDs last year for the Titans but that was with a ton of inconsistent QB play(yes, I realize that nobody had more inconsistent QB play than Miami). And yes, even when he was in Cleveland he never was able to replicate the offensive numbers that he had in Atlanta.

But I think Mike McDaniel will treat Hooper like the old-school tight end he is. Nothing fancy, nothing fast, but in your face, I’m going to move you against your will football is what Austin Hooper brings to the table. He’s basically the FTR of tight ends. That’s what this offense sorely needs and Hooper brings it every game.

My favorite part about Austin Hooper is his familiarity with the Shannhan system, what McDaniel uses, and the outside zone blocking scheme which he was excellent at in Cleveland. Those Cleveland teams were terrific at running the ball when Hooper was there. Also, the Titans team Hooper was on, not sure if you know about this, but they were pretty good at running the ball last year as well.

I think Hooper would slide in nicely and who knows; maybe he can get back a bit more on track with receiving the ball like he did when he was in Atlanta running that Shannahna system.
