Mike Gesicki may very well be the Cincinnati Bengals’ top target at the position in free agency.

Gesicki is no stranger to cold weather having played college ball at Penn State. A return to the north is likely this off-season and I don’t see him heading all the way across the country. Gesicki and his new wife are building a house in New Jersey, by now, it should be completed.

The Bengals are not looking good at TE this off-season. Hayden Hurst is 29 and will cross the 30-year-old threshold next season. Aside from Hurst, the Bengals have Devin Asiasi and Mitchell Wilcox but only Asiasi is under contract for the 2023 season.

Hurst caught 52 passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns to lead the TEs. Wilcox was second with 17 receptions for 139.

Hurst isn’t expected back this year and Gesicki would be an upgrade for the unit with no drop in production from Hurst in the passing game, the fact that the Bengals have a stellar team that is competing for Super Bowls is a draw that Gesicki may not be able to turn his back on.
