With Mike Gesicki having built a new home in New Jersey, playing for the Giants would make sense for him and his wife.

The Giants have a need at tight end as they will enter the 2023 season with Daniel Bellinger, Lawrence Cager, and Nick Vannett. Bellinger led all Giants tight ends with 30 receptions for 268 yards and two touchdowns. Needless to say, Gesicki is head and shoulders above what they currently have.

The Giants made the playoffs last season and Brian Daboll looks to have turned the team around. Daniel Jones is likely to return and giving him a legitimate tight end would help the offense and the receiver core.

New York doesn’t have a lot of money tied into the position and will enter free agency with over $46 million in cap space. The most money goes to Bellinger who rings in at just over $1 million and change.

PREDICTION

There are a few other teams that Gesicki could sign with but the Giants make the absolute most sense for the likely soon-to-be Miami Dolphins tight end. The Bengals are a close second in my opinion and it could come down to money but the draw of playing closer to home can’t be dismissed.
