This guy can be both a leader and also can be a very effective player in a #2 corner role. This guy is Patrick Peterson and the Miami Dolphins should look.

I don’t think the contract would need to be too big here. You could also make this move and draft a guy with your 2nd round pick to be his replacement here eventually.

According to Spotrac, Peterson’s market value will be somewhere around $6.4 million for one year, and I think Miami would be attracted to this sort of deal.

He will be 33 years old by the start of next season, but he was still playing very well this past season in Minnesota. He had 5 INTs and was a super strong tackler at the second level with 56 solo tackles on the season.

Peterson isn’t what he once was, or who he once was, but he still has that very same presence and teams still respect him enough to the point they won’t attack him.

I think he also still offers an element in the return game that could be played with as well, obviously not as much burst as he once had, but still has that vision and ability if you didn’t want to use Tyreek or Waddle.

Lastly, maybe swings for the fences and goes after a young corner with a ton of upside. Who would that be?
