While again, I will say this as much as I can, it is highly unlikely, this move would be cool for the Miami Dolphins

Jamel Dean would be an incredibly nice compliment to this defensive core and would be a piece that would fill out the secondary for the long run.

Dean will likely be asking for a massive contract in free agency which is something Miami likely cannot afford and wouldn’t be willing to do. However, it may go without saying how good Jamel Dean would be in this system.

Spotrac has Dean’s market value listed at $16.5 million per year on a 3-year deal. I think one way around this would be a lot of money upfront in guarantees, and extending into a longer maybe 4-6 year deal.

No matter, how you look at it, it wouldn’t be cheap. However in Vic Fangio’s scheme having two very reliable corners to command that secondary is a gigantic help.

I think that Dean is the least likely of the three, but I never dream too small about free agency. I think other names to look at for a potential Miami contract would be Sidney Jones, Bryce Callahan, and Greedy Williams.
