5 moves that will turn the Miami Dolphins into a Super Bowl contender

Number 5: The Miami Dolphins need to scheme to attack the ground by committee.
The Dolphins’ run game was pretty mediocre until bringing in Jeff Wilson Jr. this past season via trade with the 49ers.
Wilson Jr. was able to share snaps with Raheem Mostert and, at times, guys like Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin. The advantages of having a few running backs all get carries in a game is two-fold.
The first advantage is there is less likelihood of an injury when a team runs by committee. The second advantage piggybacks off the first — more runners equals more fresh legs. The more runners, the more rest for everyone.
This strategy has been employed by several teams, such as Chicago, Baltimore, and Atlanta, and unsurprisingly, these three teams finished first, second and third in total rushing, respectively.
Running by committee has paid tangible dividends and the Dolphins must maintain this ground strategy, whether that includes bringing Wilson Jr. back or not, seeing as he is a free agent this offseason. Having only one feature back puts a lot of pressure on not only that one running back — the passing game has to work as well.
When you have fresh legs, your passing attack can feed off the running game. And vice versa.
