What’s next for the Miami Dolphins 2023roster and Chris Grier as free agency begins?
Tua is no longer going to be relied on to lead the team, rather just ensure the offense does enough to win the game. Tua potentially has a defense that can be relied on to get the opposing team off the field. What this all leads to is reinforcement on the offensive line. Which is something that has haunted the Dolphins’ for a few years. However, last year the Dolphins did something smart, by going into the free agency pool and securing Terron Armstead and Connor Williams, who balled out this past season and showed that the best way to fix the line isn’t through the draft, but rather experienced players that know how to move the line.
Taking all that into consideration, the Miami Dolphins would be wise to continue that logic this offseason and build the line. The Dolphins have to be smart with their limited cap space and shouldn’t go for broke signing Orlando Brown. Rather look to secure a legit guard that can play between Armstead and Williams. One key target would be Isaac Seumalo. Issaac was awesome this past season and led the way for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles offense. Isaac was also consistent as he played a full season and has a mauler mind set, which is something that has been missing on this line.
Other player or option should Isaac look for a hefty pay increase is Justin Pugh. Pugh is a veteran player (wrong side of 30) but still has enough experience and power to showcase his skill set.
This would allow the Dolphins to anchor 4 key starters on the line, with Liam and Austin battling for the Right Tackle position.
