Two weeks in a row now the Miami Dolphins have suffered a considerable injury. This time LG Justin Smiley has been lost to a broken right leg. Surgery will likely be performed on the break that is located near the ankle. He will be placed on IR this week.
The Fins have lost two major contributing starters in successive weeks last week losing WR Greg Camarillo to a knee injury. The losses of both will put into jeopardy the Phins run at the playoffs. The Fins are thin on the offensive line and will face the Bills, Chiefs, 49′ers, and speed [...]

Miami Loses Smiley
No Smileying After This Win
UPDATE: The Fins signed Center Al Johnson prior to the game. For info on AJ go to the bottom of this article.
When the Miami Dolphins lost to the Houston Texans on the final drive of the game it appeared that the team just couldn’t put together wins against teams that on paper they should beat. That all changed after close victories against the Seahawks, Raiders, and today the Rams. Make no mistake, there is no smiling after this close win that once again came down to a final drive defensive stop.
While a win is a win, for this [...]
Week 13 Chat: Miami At St. Louis
Sunday Morning Grille
John Offerdahl is not only a former All-Pro LB for the Miami Dolphins, but he is also the owner of Offerdahl’s Cafe and Grille. Here is another one of his Gridiron Griller episodes for this Sunday morning tailgate party!
Root, Root, Root For This Team
Even an 11-5 Dolphins team is not guaranteed a playoff spot. That means that even if we win out, we still need a little help.
I have broken down the playoff scenarios, and based upon my projections of which teams are sitting pretty and which ones are giving us a run for our money, here is a list of some teams we need to root for this weekend. These wins/losses give the Dolphins the best chance to make the cut at the end of the season:
Was This Really Necessary?

Winning good. Losing bad.
Root for Miami.

5 Questions With Vince Vitale
Vince Vitale is the blogger for RamblinFan and StLouisRamsfan.com. He took the time to exchange 5 questions with me, you can read my answers to his questions here. Hope you find these interesting as we ready ourselves for the week 13 St. Louis Rams match-up.
1: Who is the Rams biggest offensive threat?
The most dangerous offensive threat continues to be Steven Jackson. The team plays 10 times harder when he is in the lineup. Jackson has basically missed 5 games this season and still leads the Rams in touchdowns, rushing yards, and is third in receiving. If Jackson is unable to [...]
Part III Locker-room Tour
This is the final part of a 3 part look at the Miami Dolphins locker-room located at Dolphins Stadium. Following this portion of the tour, we will take you to the club level seating, have a Q&A with Jimmy Cefalo, tour the Hall of Legends, and give you a peak at the Dolphins marketing video. Then, we leave the stadium and head to the training center for another exclusive tour that includes the practice bubble, locker-room, meeting rooms, film room, practice field and special Q&A’s with Jeff Ireland, Tony Sparano, and former Dolphins lineman Keith Sims. So stay tuned.
Your Wife Is A Whore
There I said it. Roger Goodell can now fine me. Come on Rog, fine me. I think the amount should be somewhere betwenn 7 and 15 thousand dollars depending on whether or not the person I said it to decides to punch me on top of my bald head.
Haven’t figured out what I mean yet?
Well according to reports, Joey Porter has been fined by the league, 7,500 bucks for two unsportsmanlike penalties against the Patriots for, are you ready for this…”Verbal Abuse“. Yep, that’s right. He has been fined because his mouth apparently opened and after a play he [...]
Gridiron Grilling
Here is another episode of John Offerdahl’s Gridiron Griller series. Enjoy!
5 Keys: St. Louis Rams
Don’t think for a minute that the St. Louis Rams are a bunch of teddy bear pushovers. This is the same team that beat the Dallas Cowboys and almost upset the NE Patriots who probably won because they taped the walkthroughs prior to the game. Sorry, I digress.
What I’m saying is, the Miami Dolphins can not look beyond the Rams to the following weeks match-up with the Buffalo Bills. The Phins need to bounce back from the embarrassing loss to the Patriots a week ago and regain the focus that has won them 6 games.
5: The Bills. The Dolphins will [...]
Filling the Void
Heading into the home stretch amid a fight for what is likely a Wild Card spot, the Miami Dolphins are looking to do more than just win a game this weekend. The team must find a running game against the league’s 30th ranked rush defense, taking some of the pressure off of Chad Pennington who will have his hands full looking to fill the void left by the injury of his favorite target.
Greg Camarillo was more than just the Dolphins’ leading receiver. He was the fans’ belief that big names, big contracts, and analysts’ projections meant nothing on the football [...]
Happy Thanksgiving!
From all of us here at Phinphanatic.com and the Fan-Sided Blog Network to all of you and your families, we want to wish you a safe and happy holiday season. Thank you for being a part of our family.
The New England Patriots used to have class. Back when Steve Grogan ran the show, back when Bill Parcells marched the sidelines. Now, they are a bunch of egotistical idiots who think that everyone owes them something.
Last year Bill Belichick walked away from league Commissioner Roger Goodell’s office with nary a bruise on his hand from the discipline handed out after “Spygate”. As the season progressed some film guy that Billy fired, for likely not recording the right defensive calls, spilled the beans on the Pats filming the walk through practice of the St. Louis Rams prior to the [...]
It is true. The slap on the wrist for his Spygate antics, the brush off over the St. Louis Rams Super Bowl win, and now, once again, Bill Belichick and his cronies that he calls players walk away without so much as a scratch. So it goes without saying that Bill Belichick must have naked pictures of Roger Goodell, the NFL Commissioner. What he does with them personally, I really don’t want to know.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, both Matt Light and Channing Crowder have been fined $15,000 by the league for their fight that resulted in both players being [...]
