David Harris is set to start his ninth NFL season after being drafted by the New York Jets in the 2nd round, pick 47 overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.
Harris started his first game in 2007 after an injury to starter Jonathan Vilma. Vilma was traded a year later and Harris has started every game since at the inside linebacker position. Over his career, Harris has registered 116 starts in 123 games. He has 30 sacks and 579 tackles and 306 assists. He also has four forced fumbles and six interceptions.
Harris was set to become a free agent in 2015 but the Jets re-signed him to an extension.
