Jordan Cameron

Tight end Jordan Cameron catches a pass from Ryan Tannehill during team drills in a joint practice with the Carolina Panthers.

Jordan Cameron joined the Miami Dolphins during the 2015 off-season prior to the teams decision not to match the contract offer by the Buffalo Bills to tight end Charles Clay. In 2013, Cameron became one of the top tight ends in the NFL and made his first pro-bowl.

Cameron’s 2014 season was marred by concussions that limited his playing time. He started 9 of 10 games and still managed a respectable 424 yards on 24 receptions for the Cleveland Browns.

Drafted in the 4th round of the 2011 draft by the Browns, Cameron started off his NFL career slowly before exploding in 2013. Cameron totaled 917 yards on 80 receptions adding seven touchdowns during his 2013 season. By far the best season of his career.

In Miami the Dolphins are hoping that Cameron can return to his 2013 production. At 6’5″ the tight end gives the Dolphins a big red-zone target, something they lacked in previous years. In 2014 the Dolphins were the best team in getting into the red-zone but dropped considerably in scoring, in part due to a lack of big receivers.
