November 15th, Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia

Bill Lazor will return to Philadelphia for the first time since becoming the Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator. It means nothing. The Eagles are not the same team that they were when Lazor was the quarterbacks coach. This season the Eagles are rolling with Sam Bradford as their starting quarterback and will now rely on former Dallas Cowboy running back DeMarco Murray instead of LeSean McCoy.

The Eagles are not a well rounded team and there has been a lot of off-season criticism. That being said the Eagles are team that is well prepared and Chip Kelly knows that he needs to start seeing a winner in Philly. Making this game tougher is the mid-November start as weather could go in a lot of different directions. Adding to that is the Eagles fans themselves. Winning or losing Eagles fan can be loud at Lincoln Financial Field . There are also concerns over the stadiums turf.

The importance of this game does not set up for tie-breakers at least not at first. However should everything be equal teams records against non-conference teams could come into play. If New England is the first toughest team the Dolphins face, Philly is the 2nd. Sandwiched in between is Buffalo and while the Bills always play the Dolphins hard it’s a game that the Dolphins should be able to win. The Eagles could be the 2nd team since opening weekend that the Dolphins face with a winning or at .500 record.
