ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST – QUEEN
Queen makes it’s second appearance on this list and it’s hard not to. For me, to this day I get in a better mood when I hear this song. The thumping intro mixed with a steady drum beat seems to elevate my mood. In fact my kids call me crazy because when it comes on my head starts bobbing in sync with the music. What makes this song so attractive for sports is the knocking down overtones of making someone, well you know, bite the dust.
I first heard this song outside of Detroit, Michigan when my father was stationed there. The track, then on cassette got a lot of play prior to many games. Another positive was the length of the song just 3:35 seconds. Not too long or too short.
