Pick 14: Green Bay Packers

Denzel Ward – CB

It’s not often the Packers pick this low but the injury to Aaron Rodgers killed the team last year. Green Bay found out that they need more than offensive points to win football games last year and with Rodgers coming back they should focus on the defensive side of the ball.

Ward makes a lot of sense for the Packers who need better production and coverage from their secondary. Ward should provide that.

Another possibility could be receiver and Calvin Ridley would make a lot of sense here. The team let Jordy Nelson go and that leaves a hole on offense from a production standpoint. The loss of Nelson could hurt the Packers and it is a position they will need to address in round two or three.

Fixing the secondary however should be their top priority.
