PIck 21: Cincinnati Bengals

Leighton Vander Esch

The Bengals could two ways with this pick. They could go with defensive tackle or they could go linebacker. Defensive tackle is a bigger need but with the recent suspension, again, of Vontaze Burfict the Bengals need to start thinking about replacing him.

Linebacker is a need for the Bengals regardless of the suspension and Vander Esch would fit nicekly in the Bengals front seven. The question really is will he be there when the Bengals are on the clock. Some are projecting Vander Esch to come off the board as high as 15.

If Vander Esch is gone than DT makes a lot of sense as the Bengals need to improve their defensive line. Maurice Hurst of Michigan could be in play for the Bengals at 21.
