Jason Taylor

In 2011, the Miami Dolphins welcomed back their best defensive end in team history. After playing one season for the New York Jets, Taylor came back for more than just a ceremonial one-day contract.

His numbers were not better than some of the other players that played over the last ten years for the Dolphins but a Hall of Fame career can’t be ignored. In his return season, Taylor had two passes defensed and one forced fumble. He appeared in all 16 games but was actually a “starter” only twice. Still, he posted seven sacks in his final year to go with his 13 solo tackles.

Taylor retired following the ’11 season and five years later he took his place in Canton, Ohio as a first-ballot Hall of Fame player.

Taylor spent 13 years with the Dolphins after being drafted in the third round of 1997 draft.
