2011– The second year of the decade saw a coaching change for the Dolphins.  After a 4 and 9 start, Tony Sparano was replaced by Todd Bowles who led the team to two wins in the last three.  Matt Moore took most of the offensive snaps that year under center and led the Dolphins to a 6 and 6 record. Unfortunately, he couldn’t overcome Chad Henne’s 0 and 4.  The Dolphins boasted a 1000 yard rusher in Reggie Bush in 2001. The team as a whole rushed for nearly 2000 yds finishing with 1987. The Phins also got 1214 yards receiving from Brandon Marshall.  The Dolphins should have been better than 6 and 10. Once again the Phins brought a defense to the field that was ranked in the top 10 in points allowed (6th) but a 20th ranked offense once again didn’t get the job done.  The Phins had 3 pro bowl players in 2001 with Jake Long and Brandon Marshall representing the offense and Paul Soliai representing the defense.

2012 – The third year of the decade brought yet another coaching change.  Joe Philbin was brought in from Green Bay with hopes to fix the Dolphins offense.  2012 was also the start of the Ryan Tannehill era. Fans thought that we may have finally found our quarterback.  Tannehill’s rookie year wasn’t awful. He started all 16 games finishing with 3294 yds with 12 TDS and 13 ints. The Dolphins stood at 4 and 4 midway through the season with a shot at a playoff run.   Unfortunately a 3 and 5 record coming in left the Dolphins with yet another losing season (7-9). Cameron Wake was once again a first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler and was joined by teammate Randy Starks who anchored the 7th ranked scoring defense.
