Pick 36 – Wyatt Davis, IOL Ohio State

You can never go wrong with talented linemen on your roster.

Wyatt Davis may not be the most athletic lineman, but he plays at a higher level than his athletic ability. He is a dominant blocker in the running and passing game. He’s aggressive and smart, two traits that are crucial to success at the NFL level. They also seem to be traits that Brian Flores covets in all of his players, making Davis a great fit for this team.

Davis can easily step right in to one of the guard spots on day one and help flesh out an already young, up and coming offensive line unit.

Offensive guard isn’t a pressing need for this team, as Miami spent a good amount of picks last year on offensive linemen, some of which have the talent to play inside. But, like I said in the beginning, Miami could always benefit from stronger depth at the interior of their line. Plus, Davis could push Ereck Flowers for a starting job pretty quickly next offseason, even if Flowers played pretty well last season.

It makes sense for Miami to sure up the trenches, since thats where you win and lose Super Bowls.
