4. The Miami Dolphins WILL NOT sign center Corey Linsley and WILL re-sign center Ted Karras

I have been vocal that former Green Bay Packers center Corey Linsley should be the Miami Dolphins No. 1 priority in free agency. Adding a star at the center position would be a wise decision by the Dolphins. Allowing Tua Tagovailoa to have a center he can build with and count on would be huge. Linsley is an elite center that will likely command a big contract this offseason. He has earned that contract through his dominant play.

That’s why I don’t think Miami will break the bank for Linsley, but instead, Miami will re-sign center Ted Karras.

I can hear your sigh already as you’re reading that. I think I even sighed writing it. However, think about the points I made earlier about Linsley. Miami may feel that having Karras back with Tagovailoa on a cheap deal is the best idea for the Dolphins. He and Tagovailoa are comfortable together, and they can keep building that relationship up.

Karras will be 28 in a few days, so he has a few more years of football in him. Now, I don’t think he has elite football in him, but he has enough in the tank to get the job done, and that’s why Miami will re-sign him.

One last quick note, don’t rule out Miami signing former Patriots center David Andrews instead, as Flores has the New England connection with him. Andrews would also make sense, and I’d say outside of re-signing Karras, signing Andrews would be the next most likely scenario at center.
