The Miami Dolphins trade pick 6 and pick 231 to the Denver Broncos for pick 9 and pick 40.

“I thought you said the Dolphins were going to be even more aggressive?” I did. And don’t worry, this is just the beginning. I am sure some of you saw Smith’s picture here and thought about checking in on me to see how I am doing.

Yes, the pick is not the No. 1 player in the 2021 NFL Draft, Kyle Pitts.

I truly believe the Atlanta Falcons will draft Pitts at No. 4 overall, and they should. Pitts would be incredible in their offense, and they have Matt Ryan, so they do not need a quarterback. If Pitts is somehow still on the board at No. 6, Miami should run the card up.

However, I just don’t see him being there, so I think the Dolphins should trade back again if he is gone. I do not want to see the Dolphins trade too far back, so I think No. 9 to the Denver Broncos would be perfect. Denver could trade up for a quarterback, and if Justin Fields or Trey Lance is on the board at pick 6, Miami needs to trade back and get what they can get for the pick. I think getting pick 9 and pick 40 would be more than enough for me to move back, and that is what happens here.

Miami moves back to the No. 9 spot, and they get the best wide receiver in the 2021 NFL Draft, DeVonta Smith. I know that Smith only weighs 166 pounds, and even though I am concerned about it, I still think he is going to be incredible in the NFL.

He is the best route runner I have ever scouted, and he will be starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s No. 1 target for many, many years.
