This Miami Dolphins day 2 2021 mock draft is going to fill big holes for the team and should improve the roster considerably by the end of tonight.

The first round of the 2021 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Miami Dolphins kept their foot on the gas from their aggressive, risky offseason. After making multiple trades and signing wide receiver Will Fuller, the Dolphins entered the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft with two first-round picks.

Miami had pick-six and pick 18. The 18th pick was Miami’s pick, which they earned after a 10 win season with the help of rookie starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The sixth pick stemmed from the Laremy Tunsil trade. Miami had the 3rd overall pick and then traded back to pick 12 with the San Francisco 49ers and then back up to the sixth pick with the Philadelphia Eagles.

With that sixth pick, Miami took former Alabama wide receiver, Jaylen Waddle. I personally hate the value there, but I love the player. Waddle is going to be better in the NFL than he was at Alabama. There is some risk with Waddle‘s limited production in college, but playing alongside Fuller and DeVante Parker will help him thrive.

Miami then went full boom or bust mode when they took edge defender Jaelan Phillips out of Miami. Phillips is the most talented pass rusher in the draft, but his concussion issues have scared many away. Miami clearly isn’t afraid of them, and if Phillips can stay healthy, he may be the best defender taken in this draft.

We enter Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft, round 2 and round 3, with Miami having pick 36, pick 50, and pick 81. Here is a Dolphins Day 2 mock draft where Miami fills two major needs.
