2. Noah Igbinoghene’s Versatility

You know that head coach Brian Flores loves when his players are versatile, and I think Noah Igbinoghene has shown Flores he can do what is asked of him.

The first thing I wanted to note about his versatility is his ability to tackle. I know some people may not see that as versatility, but I do.

Far too many times, NFL cornerbacks are a liability in the run game, but not Igbinoghene. He will hit you, and he will help in the run game. That type of versatility from a cover corner who can also come up and play the run is huge in the NFL.

The next aspect of his versatility is his return ability. Now, I’m not saying Miami fans should be pumped if they drafted a kick returner in the first round, but what I’m saying is it highlights the type of athlete Igbinoghene is. He can, and he will do it all.

He returned four kicks last year, and we could see him return more in 2021. Igbinoghene’s willingness to play special teams is huge, especially with Byron Jones and Xavien Howard in front of him.

However, his versatility and willingness to play inside and outside is what will set him apart. Miami did bring in some competition for the slot corner spot, but Igbinoghene should win the job if Howard is playing for the Dolphins in 2021.

I think Igbinoghene will be the first guy in at outside corner if Jones or Howard go down, but he’s too talented not to have on the field. And I’m sure wherever they need him, Igbinoghene will gladly help out there!
