Miami Dolphins: 3 players whose stock has dropped
By Jeremy Klump
WR Albert Wilson
I know having wide receiver Albert Wilson on this list will make some people angry, but sometimes the truth hurts. Wilson has been a star during the first few weeks of training camp and has been on a daily Miami Dolphins Twitter account tweet.
As many of you know, I have not been high on Wilson being a weapon for the Dolphins this season. However, after being tagged in about 100 videos of him scoring touchdowns in practice, it seemed like I was wrong.
However, I am not wrong yet. Could I be wrong? Yes, but right now, Wilson is currently injured and not practicing. He has missed over a week now and missed the first preseason game. He is not practicing on the first day of joint practices against the Atlanta Falcons, so this is not good news.
While his highlights plays have been fun to watch, “We talking bout practice.”
My biggest knock on Wilson is that he is rarely healthy, and you can’t count on him because of it. While Wilson has been hurt, slot receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. showed that he is a gamer. While Bowden has not made highlight play touchdowns in practice, he was healthy and caught a Dolphins receiver high four passes for 47 yards in the first preseason game.
Wilson’s stock was sky high, but with him being injured again, 2021 1st round pick Jaylen Waddle has been shining, and Bowden Jr. is showing he can hold his own as well. Could he come back healthy and prove me wrong? Absolutely, but there is no positive way to spin Wilson already missing practice and a game.
