CB Noah Igbinoghene

This one hurts to write, but the facts are the facts. 2020 first-round pick, Noah Igbinoghene’s stock has been falling. And it has been extremely frustrating to see. Igbinoghene looked solid in the first preseason game, even though he gave up a big catch.

Other than the big catch, he was flying around and making plays. However, Igbinoghene got injured on an impressive third-down stop and had to leave the game. Igbinoghene was healthy enough to play in the second preseason game, but he did not look good.

Head coach Brian Flores clearly sent a message to his high draft pick, as Igbinoghene was playing late with the 3rd and 4th string players. To make matters worse, Igbinoghene looked pretty bad against the backups. He gave up catches, and he gave zero effort on a run play.

I would not want to be in the film room when Flores ripped Igbinoghene for his lack of effort. Some fans may think that isn’t a big deal, but for a high draft pick who needs to prove he is progressing, this is a really, really bad look.

I thought fans could trust Igbinoghene this season, but it is looking like Miami will need to wait another year to see if Igbinoghene will ever pan out. I still have hope, but Igbinoghene’s stock is definitely falling and falling fast.
