Miami Dolphins lose to New England in week one Madden simulation
By Nick Belotto
On to round 2.
The momentum at the end of the first quarter vanishes instantly, and after moving the ball into New England territory, Miami is forced to punt.
Jones takes the New England offense on a bit of a chunk march, able to move the team down into field goal range pretty easily. But, “bend don’t break” resurfaces and Miami is able to keep New England to another field goal.
I can feel it, Miami is about to have a great drive to set up a touchdown.
Boy, was I wrong. After a few short completions to start the drive, Miami’s receivers are unable to get open down the field. Rather than throw the ball into tight coverage, Tagovailoa ends up throwing the ball away, and Miami goes three and out again.
New England seems to be feeling pretty good at the moment. Mac Jones leads the team down the field connecting on a few big plays, most notably a 25-yard pass to Hunter Henry. Set up on the 7-yard line, Jones connects with Jakobi Meyers for a touchdown to put the Patriots up.
It’s more of the same for Miami’s offense, who picks up one first down just to be forced to punt once again. The Patriots take over and aren’t able to generate any points before the clock expires for halftime.
Not the greatest of quarters for the Dolphins.
