Round 2: John Metchie III, WR, Alabama

John Metchie III is one of the best wide receivers in the 2022 NFL Draft, so having him in the second round may not make sense to some people. However, Metchie tore his ACL late in the season, so his 2022 season status is in question.

A team may decide to take him earlier and just wait, but sometimes injuries of that significance can cause a player to drop, and I think he will drop.

Back-to-back years with Alabama wide receivers isn’t the worst idea either, as the Crimson Tide has produced some studs as of late.

Metchie paired up with Jaylen Waddle would be a deadly combo and give the Miami offense explosive plays all over the field. Obviously, fans may have to wait until at least mid-season to see him play, but I think it will be worth the wait.
