Nicholas Petit-Frere from Ohio State is going to be a guy who can step in and be a Day 1 starter for a team, despite being a later-round selection.

If the Miami Dolphins want to target a guy who has played all over the line at a top college program, they are not going to get many better opportunities than Nicholas Petit-Frere.

The 6 foot 5 inches 315 pounds Nicholas Petit-Frere would give the Miami Dolphins much improved offensive line depth. He can play all around the line and has experience against some of the best defensive line prospects in the league.

Nicholas Petit-Frere has a knack for getting to the next level on run plays and would be an explosive right tackle in the wide-zone run blocking scheme. He has proven his athleticism with some of the best athletes in the world at Ohio State while allowing only 2 total sacks in his career playing in over 800 pass-blocking plays.

Like I said earlier though, this is not what separates Nicholas Petit-Frere. He can get into the second level, and his ability to seal people off and open up gigantic holes for his explosive running backs to blow through.

Not much would change for the Miami Dolphins because if he were to be playing for Mike McDaniel’s squad, he would be playing the right tackle spot and would have plenty of opportunities to show his speed and size when pulling in the run game. Opening up holes for a guy like Raheem Mostert is what these guys dream of.

For Ohio State, he played both left and right tackle but was much more effective at right tackle. Pushing to be the right tackle for the Miami Dolphins could be well within reach for Nicholas Petit-Frere, simply because of his pedigree and his experience at a powerhouse school like Ohio State.

I think drafting Nicholas Petit-Frere in the 2022 NFL Draft would be a slam dunk for the Miami Dolphins because of the depth he provides for this team. You never want to bank on injuries, but this Miami Dolphins offensive line has never been one to stay healthy all year.
