Miami Dolphins value contract #1: Raheem Mostert

Raheem Mostert will likely be a boom or bust product for the Dolphins.

One of the fastest players in the entire league, Mostert has big the big play ability that Miami so badly needs in their backfield. But he comes with a concerning injury history that has allowed him to play just nine games over the last two seasons.

Should Mostert remain relatively healthy, he will be one of the best bargains on the team. The Dolphins signed him to a one-year contract worth just shy of $2 million. His extensive history with head coach Mike McDaniel will allow him to fit in to the offensive scheme seamlessly, and could end up being Miami’s feature back when all is said and done.

Don’t forget, this is the guy who ran for 220 yards and 4 touchdowns in an NFC Championship game.

Miami Dolphins value contract #2: Lynn Bowden Jr.

One player who may be going overlooked is Lynn Bowden Jr.

People will tell you that there is no guarantee that LBJ will even make the 53-man roster this coming season. But as the engineer on the Lynn Bowden hype train, I am here to tell you that he will be one of the best bargains on the team in 2022.

He’s not going to be Deebo Samuel, and he will likely find himself deep on the depth chart when everyone is healthy. But Bowden is a Swiss Army knife, able to do a little bit of everything as he showed in college and very briefly in the NFL. Mike McDaniel likes him some versatile players, and LBJ might just fit the mold.

Bowden is owed just north of $1 million for 2022.
