Channing Tindall – Linebacker – Georgia:

Words can’t explain how much I love this pick, on every mock draft I did Channing Tindall had never fallen below the second round, so much so that on my mock drafts I had to settle to pick project linebackers at #102 overall.

If you want to know more in-depth about the Dolphins’ new Linebacker you can check out my article on getting to know Channing Tindall.

But in a nutshell:

"One of the biggest upgrades Tindall brings to Miami’s defense is tackling ability, Tindall only had 5 missed tackles in 2021, and on tape, he’s always seen taking a good angle on the ball. The former Georgia LB is an athletic freak and can chase down any runner down the sideline."

Channing Tindall, Physical traits:

  • Height: 6’2″
  • Weight: 230 lbs
  • Arms: 32 7/8″
  • Hands: 10 5/8″
  • Vertical jump: 42
  • Broad jump: 129
  • 40-yard dash: 4.47 seconds

I expect Tindall to be a day-1 starter and for a 3rd round pick, that is a home run selection by Chris Grier.

This of course assisted by how hard Nakobe Dean fell down the draft board, it pretty much put the Linebacker market in a quick stalemate during the draft. And it left a premium linebacker on a silver platter for the Dolphins to select.
