Miami Dolphins: 10 most important players for the future of the franchise
Miami Dolphins’ important player #4: Tyreek Hill
No, Tyreek Hill is no longer the young wide receiver that he once was. And yes, there may come a time over the next handful of seasons in which he begins to lose a step off of his world-class speed. For those reasons, he doesn’t crack the top three on this list.
But as it stands today, Hill is still one of the top wide receivers in the league, possibly the fastest player, and the guy with the most big-play potential that the Dolphins have had in decades. He is locked into an expensive contract that will tie him to Miami for the near future, and he could be worth every penny if he continues to produce the way he did in Kansas City to begin his career.
#3: Jevon Holland
Jevon Holland was immediately thought of to be one of the steals of the 2021 Draft, and he proved that notion to be correct during his rookie campaign in Miami.
The first-year safety looked skilled beyond his age last season, as he was able to make an impression through pass breakups and interceptions, as well as hard hits and quarterback knockdowns. Holland was rated as one of the top ten safeties in the league as a reward.
The Dolphins’ secondary is currently one of the most talented in the league, led by their elite pair of cornerbacks who are no longer youngsters but instead seasoned veterans. The issue with their age will look far less large however if Holland is able to continue his progression and become the eventual star of the unit.
