Nik Needham, 25, is one of the best success stories this franchise has had in some time. Needham has become a fixture for the Miami Dolphins secondary.

Undrafted in 2019 Needham has developed into one of the game’s better slot cornerbacks in the league.

He has improved every season since he arrived in South Beach. Opposing quarterbacks have targeted Needham less and less as the seasons pass by.

“I wouldn’t rather play anywhere else than Miami, this is my first team they gave me a shot and kept it honest with me,” said Needham in May about the Miami Dolphins placing a second-round tender on him this offseason.

Needham has become a good example for the undrafted defensive back in this organization. Verone McKinley and Trill Williams may develop into bigger roles someday much like Needham has.

Needham is not satisfied with where he is at and is looking to continue to improve. “There is no perfect person there is a bunch of stuff I can work on…every day I’m trying to work on a different part of my game whether it is mental or physical”, said Needham.

Even if Needham continues his current pace of production he will be a net positive for this organization.
