Miami Dolphins Offensive MVP: Tua Tagovailoa

Yep, I said it. Tua Tagovailoa is going to be the MVP for the Miami Dolphins on the offensive side of the ball.

Will he be the most important? No. The addition of Terron Armstead and his potential to change the makeup of the offensive line will likely be the biggest key of the season for the Dolphins, as much of the unit’s success will ride on the performance of the boys up front.

But the most direct beneficiary of solid offensive line play will be the starting quarterback, and Tua Tagovailoa could reap the benefits if things go to plan. He would not only have stable protection for the first time in his young career but he has also been handed a slew of high-powered weapons at the skill positions to help his progression.

There are big expectations for the quarterback, who was drafted in the top 5 just two years ago. But if the confidence that has been instilled in him by new head coach Mike McDaniel is able to translate to on-field success, then the Dolphins’ offensive could thrive in 2022, and Tua Tagovailoa could be the engine that makes the machine run.

And he may even finish the year as the team’s offensive MVP.
