Miami Dolphins interceptions leader: Xavien Howard – 6

It remains to be seen how much game-changing ability Xavien Howard still has left in the tank, but he remains one of the best ball-hawking cornerbacks in the NFL today, and figures to play a large part in Miami’s defensive attack this coming year.

Howard has been a turnover machine, recording more interceptions than any other player in the league since his rookie season, all while missing handfuls of more games than the others on the list. It can be argued that he was the most important player on the entire Dolphins roster over the last two seasons.

Can he continue the streak of dominance in the interception category? It is hard to imagine him coming anywhere near his career high of 10 picks from two seasons ago, but his 5 from last year seem about on par with what a player of his caliber should finish with at this point in his career.

The prediction is that Howard leads the team in interceptions again by replicating his five picks from 2021, plus another, but it won’t be without competition. Look for second-year safety Jevon  Holland to challenge the Pro Bowler for the most on the team.
