Miami Dolphins fantasy sleeper #1: Tua Tagovailoa

Unless you’re playing with a group of Dolphins fans (and maybe not even then), chances are that there aren’t many opposing managers that will be high on Tua Tagovailoa in fantasy football in 2022. Aside from a small handful of solid games, the two-year pro has been a fantasy dud so far in his career.

But if things go as planned in Miami this coming season, then Tagovailoa could be one of the biggest fantasy sleepers of all. He’ll likely be available as you are filling out your bench and looking for a backup quarterback, and could even end up being a viable starting option in deeper leagues.

We’re not saying that he should be drafted as your first QB option. There are almost undisputedly 12+ pass throwers that will be accruing more fantasy points than Tua, and he shouldn’t even be considered until the mid-to-late rounds of your draft.

But given the weapons surrounding him, the instilled confidence from his head coach, and the talent that made him a top prospect three years ago, Tagovailoa could be worth taking a flier on at some point, especially if you have an open spot on your bench that you’re not sure what to do with.
