Miami Dolphins: 5 things to love from first week of training camp
Miami Dolphins training camp positive #5: Tua Bombs
The most talked about story for the first week of training camp is undoubtedly the videos of Tua Tagovalia’s deep completions during Saturday’s practice that was open to the public.
The connection that caused the louder roar of the day both in the stands and on social media was a 65+ yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill. Tua showed off the arm strength that has been so often doubted, and the duo showed off the chemistry that they’ve been working on (and speaking about). The ball was thrown before Hill passed sped past the final defender, and Tagovailoa led him perfectly for a catch in the breadbasket. The crowd went wild.
Clips of the play went viral on social media, as both Tua truthers and doubters were out in full force in the comments and retweets. While it is just the first week of training camp in which we’ve bought into the hype in previous years, this year certainly feels different.
That wasn’t Tagovailoa’s only dime on the day. He had an impressive showing in 1 v 1 drills, hitting receivers for multiple over-the-top touchdowns to the sounds of the crowd chanting “Tua! Tua!”
Football is back, baby. And just like in most years, I’m buying into the pre-season hype.
