Miami Dolphins: 3 things I’m looking for in this sacred dress rehearsal week

Many Miami Dolphins didn’t play last week. Mike McDaniel will have some tough decisions with a few of them.

First and foremost, Tua Tagovailoa has to play. I’ve thought about this for a minute and I have determined that Tua needs to play at least up to the 1st quarter.

I wish I can say that the news of him throwing five total INTs over the last two practices didn’t factor into my thinking, but it did a little.

As I said earlier about the nature of dress rehearsal week, the starters may not play at all next week in Philly. So, they really could use a little game-action.

Ideally, Tua goes out there and puts together a few good drives together and keeps that confidence beaming just in case it’s dipped in the last few days. Then you can hang your hat on that performance all the way up until week one.

Tua came out yesterday and said he wants to play against the Raiders so let the guy go and play some football.

Jaylen Waddle hasn’t practiced the last few days but Mike McDaniel has assured us that he could have. If he’s for real dinged up, he shouldn’t play. If he can play, give him a series or two. The same goes for Tyreek Hill.

Now, Terron Armstead and Xavien Howard, I have no problem if they don’t play. Armstead is being handled as if he lives in a bubble and Xavien Howard is part of a very thin unit.

Jevon Holland, Chase Edmonds, Jerome Baker, Christian Wilkins, and Emmanuel Ogbah should be a go-to play unless McDaniel deems otherwise. I think they should but that’s a bit above my pay grade. Like a lot above my pay grade.
