Miami Dolphins rooting guide for Week 4

NFC over AFC (continued)

Eagles over Jags

Next to no one had the Jaguars as legitimate contenders when the season started, but after back-to-back weeks of impressive showings, things may need to be re-thought in the AFC South.

In their last two games, they have outscored the Colts and Chargers (AFC playoff hopefuls) by a combined score of 82-10, and have looked every bit as good and better than any other team in their division. The Eagles are one of the teams that is atop the NFL standings next to the Dolphins, but it might be in Miami’s best interest if it remains that way for another week.

Packers over Patriots

There are only three games slated for the 4pm time slot on Sunday, and one of them will be of the utmost importance for the Dolphins. The division rival Patriots will be traveling to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, and a win by the home team would help in putting some distance between Miami and New England in the AFC East. The game is on CBS, and will have Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on the call.

Bucs over Chiefs

It will always feel wrong to root in favor of Tom Brady, but it has happened more and more now that he is on an NFC team. It is unclear whether the Dolphins will be battling against the Chiefs or Chargers for the Wild Card spot, but we can be sure that we want Kansas City losing this particular game. And we get to watch it in prime time.
