This portion of this wonderful Miami Dolphin article contains my notes. I saw and wrote down these notes and I really think you should see them. I take stupendous notes.

I gotta say, these opening game kickoff returns are becoming way too exciting.

3rd and 4 and Emmanuel Ogbah gets a neutral zone infraction. Right on queue, the Dolphins commit an unforced penalty. This needs to stop.

Losing Emmanuel Ogbah for the season blows. Throughout the entire game, I loved the rotating of all the defensive ends and outside backers. There were fresh guys on every snap. Now with Ogbah out, I don’t know if this means the Dolphins elevate someone in that same role or uses that roster spot for another position. I imagine since they just traded for Chubb that they won’t elevate another end.

Just like that the Browns go up 7-0. It really looked like the Browns threw the kitchen sink on that drive that only went about 50 yards. After this drive, they had one Nick Chubb run for a score and that was about it.

Nick Chubb is really good. He’s a guy that gets better as the game goes on. Too bad he’s in Cleveland.

Tua really patted the Browns on the head like the dawgs they are with that pump fake and little dump off to Alec Ingold. Very disrespectful of Tua to treat their defense like it was his little brother in the driveway.

Elandon Roberts just drove Nick Chubb to earth’s core with that tackle. Roberts is good for one of those every game or so. I love it.

Bradley Chubb and Christian Wilkins split a sack. That happened a few times on Sunday with Jaelan Phillips as well.

I honestly felt that Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips, and Christian Wilkins were quite good at getting pressure without blitzing. That will be a secret sauce going forward.

Kader Kohou put on a clinic on how to play tight coverage. Kohou had a few PBU(pass breakups) and was all over the Browns’ receivers like white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm. Without him, this defense wouldn’t be as good and I think we need to be admitting that out loud.

Xavien Howard is quietly playing well. The INTs aren’t there and there seems to be a play every game where he gets beat moving laterally. But, the guy is playing rock-solid football. Are there better corners in the league? Yes, but not many.

I didn’t love the trick play when the offense was rolling the Browns late in the first half. No need for it but honestly, if Cedrick Wilson fired a ball to Tua or Hill who was open, the Earth would have stopped spinning and we all would have loved it.

Not sure how Christian Wilkins gets called for roughing. Then they brought on the ref from a studio, forget which one doesn’t matter they’re all the same and said Wilkins needs to brace the fall for the QB that he is tackling. Whatever.

Not a ton of blitzing from the Dolphin’s defense. I don’t hate it.

there are MVP chants in the building but for who? Probably Tua.

Alec Ingold is getting more comfortable in the offense. He can be a very frustrating player for defenses because if you do everything right and cover Hill, Waddle, and Gesicki you think you’re golden. Then, the fullback catches a ball for a 1st down and you want to climb in a hole.

Much better performance by Adam Archuleta. Good on him but people don’t forget.

These are always fun and potentially soul-crushing.
