When the Miami Dolphins traded for Tyreek Hill they got much more than speed.

We all knew we were getting the fastest man in the multi-verse when the Miami Dolphins traded for him back in March. What we didn’t really know was that we were getting, possibly, the most confident man in that same multi-verse.

As soon as Hill got to Miami and worked with Tua for about 10 minutes, he was ready to tell the world that Tua Tagovailoa was the most accurate quarterback that he ever caught a pass from.

At the time, that seemed like a wild thing to say. Naturally, all the talking heads mocked Hill for insulating that Tua was more accurate or better than Patrick Mahomes in anything that has to do with football.

Tyreek Hill didn’t just double or triple down on his claim. He at least 168th downed on it because he kept saying it over and over again. It got a bit uncomfortable how often Hill was pumping up Tua. I admit I started to want Hill to tone it down until the season got underway and we all saw it. But Hill kept the message going like he was campaigning for local government.

And guess what? Tyreek Hill was right the entire time because Hill is leading the NFL in just about every major receiving stat there is and Tua Tagovailoa is like I already said an MVP candidate.

That confidence that Hill has brought has wrapped the entire Miami Dolphins team and organization in a cocoon of swagger. It’s not a swagger that is insufferable or anything like that. It’s a swagger that has the players on the team not afraid to talk Super Bowl, which is very refreshing and foreign around these parts. There’s nothing wrong with that especially when you’re backing it up.
