Miami Dolphins players who should feast against the Texans

1. Jeff Wilson Jr

Miami’s passing game is obviously the crown jewel of the offense, but the budding rushing game has only helped Tagovailoa and the Dolphins’ receivers. It started off slowly, but behind the solid work put in by Raheem Mostert, Miami’s running backs are finally becoming a threat. And they added even more firepower when they added Jeff Wilson Jr. at the trade deadline, and he should have himself a good day this coming Sunday.

While Mostert earned his spot as the feature back, he has begun to split carries with Wilson Jr., and Miami has benefitted. In Week 10 against the Browns, Wilson Jr. had 119 yards on the ground, the highest total of any Dolphins’ player so far this season and just the second 100+ yard game. He benefitted from excellent blocking from Miami’s front five, but he was also breaking tackles and fighting for extra yardage every time he touched the ball, and averaged 7 yards per carry.

The Texans will enter Sunday’s game with the league’s worst rushing defense. They have allowed more than 280 ground yards twice this season, and have given up more than 135 in nine of their ten games. The Dolphins’ rushing attack took a while to get off of the ground, but it should have one of its best days this coming Sunday, and Wilson Jr. could get the big numbers on the stat sheet.
