Predicting the 3-game road trip for the Miami Dolphins

December 11th @ Los Angeles Chargers

MIA 31, LAC 24

Yes, this is the Miami Dolphins going up against the Los Angeles Chargers. But the story surrounding this contest and the match up that everyone will be waiting to see is the duel between quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert.

The two will be forever linked due to their draft position and how the chips fell during the 2020 NFL Draft, and it has been quite the debate so far. Herbert of course looked like the more talented pass thrower, and it looked as though the Dolphins made a mistake in passing on him. But Tagovailoa has covered some serious ground in making up the distance between the two, and there is again a legitimate argument over who actually is the better quarterback.

It won’t be all about the quarterbacks, though. Both teams have loads of talent on both sides of the ball, and despite their record, the game against the Chargers could prove to be one of the more difficult contests of the year for the Dolphins. But I’ll be looking for Miami to bounce back from a tough loss against the 49ers and pull to an even 1-1 on the West Coast road trip. Tua and company will get their offense clicking again, and they’ll eclipse 30 points for the fourth time in five games.
